Information on Refilling the Ink Cartridges
Refilling the ink-jet cartridge is the right way in saving your money during the life of the printer. Most of ink-jet printers normally have cartridge that will be used repeatedly. Refilling your cartridge will also save you a trip to some stores when you are facing the deadlines. Here is information for you.
For the first step, you may get the ink-jet kit form the local office supply store. The kit usually contains the ink, the blunt needled syringes and also the instruction. The color in refill kit contains of three bottles of ink, they are yellow, blue and also red which will look more just like orange. Normally, the refill kit provides a separate top on every squeezable bottle and a long, narrow, blunt-needle to insert the ink into a cartridge.
For the second step, you can remove a cartridge from your printer. Normally, the cartridges contain of two types, the one is black and another is color. After that, you can pull back the label. Normally the holes for ink are on the top of your cartridge, and the manufacturer will cover them up with a label. Then pull off a label. Some of them can be difficult for you to remove, but you need to need to persistent.
For the next step, you should put your inject cartridge on a non-porous surface. For the next step, you can get messy; therefore it will be the great time in putting on the latex gloves. After that, open the ink-jet refill kit then choose the ink that you will refill your cartridge.
If you are determining the color of the ink inside your cartridge, you need to find the ink refill that will match the color, and then insert it in the right hole and gently squeeze it. Remember to not squeeze too hard, or the ink is going to spill. Take the time refilling the colors. The ink will go into the sponge, and will also take a while to absorb.
For the next step, when you have topped off with all the colors, you can put the label back over the refill holes, after that push it down therefore it will adhere to a cartridge. If a label has lost its ability in sticking, take the piece of tape and then tape all the label down the ink will evaporate, therefore the refill holes should be covered up. For the last step, you can pop your cartridge back into your printer and then prime it, according to the direction of your printer.

Why won't my deskjet print yellow?
I'm using an hp deskjet 920c printer. It was doing fine printing until it ran out of ink, so I purchased a refill kit. I refilled the color and the black and it was fine. Then the yellow stopped printing, so I put more ink in the color printer cartridge. Then I noticed that even with lots of yellow ink, it still won't print yellow. Any ideas on why that is? I followed the directions carefully and put yellow in the appropriate place on the cartridge. The black and other two colors print fine.
Run your finger over the yellow and see if you get any on your finger. Do it gently. If you do not get yellow on you, your print head is dry.
Run a print test on you printer, see if it runs the yellow. When you do the test, each color has to perform. If it doesn't perform, then you need to go to HP and see what they recommend to remoisten the head.
Hope this helps!
