How to set up a wirless printer?

I have Brother HL 2040 series and can i set wireless printer?
Please can you tell me how to set up a Wireless printer to my laptop?

What you want to do is print from your laptop. Am I right?
To do this, you would either need a printer that already supports wireless printing or you can set up a network and share printers.

What do I mean?
You create a network, and then have one computer hooked up to it already. Then, you share the printer that is hooked up with your desktop (the computer that's already hooked up to the printer) with your laptop. Then, you can print wireless-ly... the only flaw is that the desktop must be on all the time.
