How can I turn off the dial tone on outgoing faxes Laser Class 9000s/9500s?
Just the other day this fax machine starting having sound when sending outgoing faxes, such as the dial tone. My question is how do I turn that sound off so we don't have to listen to that obnoxious noise.

Oh and before I get the lovely read the Users Manual answer...I have and still cannot find out how to do this.
I've sat next to this machine for almost 8 years now and I've never heard it make noise when sending out faxes until the other day. Just can't figure out what happened.
"Off"? That may not be a menu/option setting. But setting the fax machine's speaker volume a LOT lower (maybe even to zero) is a more typical option. I checked Canon for a manual - and could not find one - sorry. If there had been one, I would have read through it and provided the page number...
