Which is better, 12 Colour HP Vivera inks or Epson UltraChrome K3 inks?
I want to get some of my digital macros photos of flowers onto canvas and I am not sure which company to go for.
Canvas prints uk uses epson inks and Catch in colour uses hp inks.
Also, if you know which one of these companies is better, please tell me! Thanks.
they'll pretty much be the same. HP has Vivera pigment inks and Vivera dye inks. i'd assume any printer printing to canvas would be using the pigment version. K3 inks are also pigment. i has seen samples of both Epson and HP, and both are similar - output is dull and flat. generally the canvas surface is matte and this affects the overall brightness, which is why a gloss varnish (or as it's referred to in the giclee world, lamination) is important to help pop the color.
I'm an Epson guy myself.
