Why does my Epson R280 say the ink is incompatible?
I have a brand new Epson R280. I loaded the ink into it, (there are six individual cartridges) and three of them are showing up as incompatible. Light-Cyan, Light-Magenta, and Cyan.
These are the cartridges that came with the printer, so I'm 100% sure they should be compatible. Still, I can't get the printer to work.
This may sound like a stupid question, but did you remove all of the little plastic tabs off of the bottom of the cartridges? If you didn't make sure you do that. Secondly, are you sure you put the cartridges in the right order? If you did both of these things, try unplugging the USB cord of the printer, uninstalling the software, and then reinstalling the software while the printer is unplugged. Then plug the USB cord back in. If it still doesn't work, return it to the store where you purchased it, as you may have gotten a bad printer.
