DVD drive not dectecting my blank media?
My DVD burner is not recognizing any of my media. I originally thought it was because my software but that is not the problem. I recently tried to burn something with DVD Santa, Clone DVD, and DVDfab Platinum and they all did the same thing.
What happens:
After any program that I use has finished the encoding process and it's time to to burn it tells me to insert blank media. When I insert blank media nothing happens. I have let it sit for up to 15 minutes. And I have used virtually every type of blank media so that's not the problem. I have some sort of LG DVD Burner. I don't know anything about updating firmware so that may be the issue.
*Note: I am able to burn CDs with the writer but not DVDs.
First get the details about ur drive - the model to proceed further
http://www.nero.com/nero7/enu/Info_Tool.html - Useful tool to get t info reg. ur drive. If its just a DVD rom, then it cannot burn DVD bot only CD...Alos check whether the drive u r selecting when u give the burn option is not a Image Recorder...
